Annotations:

The <stage> tag is used to indicate all the annotations of a dramatic work: entrance and exit of characters, place of the action, etc..:

<stage xml:id="la.stage1">Scaena primum prope Thebas in uia, deinde Thebis</stage>

In our editions we do not give any information about the type of annotation in question, since in most preserved ancient works there are hardly any indications of this type. But we can use them, as in the example, if our reference edition provides information of this type.

They can be inserted anywhere in the work, at any point in the text as considered necessary, always respecting the nesting of the rest of the labels.

They need to contain, like the rest of the elements of our editions, a @xml:id with a language prefix to enable the alignment of the original text with its translations.

How can we help?
