{"id":2049,"date":"2021-03-13T13:39:28","date_gmt":"2021-03-13T12:39:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thebarumfabula.usc.es\/guidelines\/signos-diacriticos-editoriales\/sintaxis-de-los-signos-diacriticos\/"},"modified":"2021-05-03T15:55:15","modified_gmt":"2021-05-03T13:55:15","slug":"sintaxis-de-los-signos-diacriticos","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/thebarumfabula.usc.es\/en\/guidelines\/signos-diacriticos-editoriales\/sintaxis-de-los-signos-diacriticos\/","title":{"rendered":"Syntax of the Diacritical Marks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>These labels identifying each type of convention can include a character, a word, a group of words, a whole verse, several verses, a whole paragraph, or any fraction of these units. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The usual rule is to insert the diacritic label within the label containing it, respecting the hierarchy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" data-enlighter-theme=\"\" data-enlighter-highlight=\"\" data-enlighter-linenumbers=\"\" data-enlighter-lineoffset=\"\" data-enlighter-title=\"\" data-enlighter-group=\"\">&lt;l>&lt;secl>arma&lt;\/secl> virumque cano Troiae qui primus ab oris&lt;\/l>\n\n&lt;l>&lt;secl>arma virumque cano Troiae qui primus ab oris&lt;\/secl>&lt;\/l><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>But if the text we need to highlight doesn\u2019t conform to the nesting hierarchy of tags, (for example if the marked text starts in the middle of one line and ends in the middle of the next), we\u2019ll need to use a non-hierarchical structuring system to indicate where each mark begins and ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do this we use the <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">&lt;milestone\/&gt;<\/code> tag which connects to an <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">&lt;anchor\/&gt;<\/code> placed at the point where that condition ends. Each type of diacritical mark will carry within the <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">&lt;milestone\/&gt;<\/code> the <code><code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@unit<\/code><\/code> attribute that corresponds to its value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An example with a spurious text:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" data-enlighter-theme=\"\" data-enlighter-highlight=\"\" data-enlighter-linenumbers=\"\" data-enlighter-lineoffset=\"\" data-enlighter-title=\"\" data-enlighter-group=\"\">&lt;p&gt;P&aacute;rrafo que est&aacute; solo parcialmente borrado. Hasta aqu&iacute; el texto se reconoce como aut&eacute;ntico, pero\n\t&lt;milestone unit=&quot;secl&quot; spanto=&quot;#anclajefinal&quot;\/&gt;&eacute;sta es la parte a borrar del p&aacute;rrafo.&lt;\/p&gt;\n\t&lt;p&gt;Este p&aacute;rrafo tampoco es original.&lt;\/p&gt;\n\t&lt;p&gt;Segundo p&aacute;rrafo que no es original.&lt;\/p&gt;\n\t&lt;p&gt;P&aacute;rrafo parcialmente borrado, porque a la mitad del p&aacute;rrafo acaba el texto espurio marcado por este anclaje\n\t&lt;anchor xml:id=&quot;anclajefinal&quot;\/&gt;\ny desde aqu&iacute; ya sigue ya el texto v&aacute;lido.&lt;\/p&gt;<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, the necessary attributes of <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">&lt;milestone\/&gt;<\/code> are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@unit<\/code>: each diacritical mark will have its own, which will always correspond to the name of its base tag. For example, if additions are marked with <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">&lt;supplied><\/code>, the non-hierarchical nesting with <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">&lt;milestone><\/code> will be called <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">&lt;milestone unit=\"supplied\"\/><\/code>.
