Our editions are completed with a commentary in the form of footnotes inserted in the translations. For this purpose, a <note><\/code> tag is added at the point in the text where you want to insert it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<p>Guía de tu padre ciego y único alivio<lb\/> de su cansancio, hija mía,\n\t<note>Aunque no identfique a los personajes con su nombre, Séneca deja clara en estos dos versos la referencia a Edipo y Antígona. En <bibl><title>Fenicias<\/title><\/bibl> la ausencia de nombres propios se compensa con el uso de términos que indican la relación familiar para referirse unos personajes a otros. Con este recurso el poeta busca enfatizar el carácter sacrílego del conflicto.<\/note>\n¡qué valioso es para mí<lb\/> el haberte engendrado incluso así!\n\t<note>Antígona había nacido de la unión de Edipo con su madre Yocasta, es decir, de una unión incestuosa.<\/note>\nAbandona a tu infausto padre.<lb\/> ¿Por qué enderezas mis pasos errantes?<lb\/> Deja que me pierda; yo solo encontraré \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tmejor el camino<lb\/> que busco, el que me retire de esta vida<lb\/> y alivie de contemplar esta infame cabeza mía<lb\/> al cielo y a la tierra. ¡Qué poco he hecho yo con mi mano!<lb\/> No veo la luz del día, cómplice de mi crimen,<lb\/> pero soy visto.\n\t<note>Su mutilación no le ha servido a Edipo para aislarlo del mundo, <foreign xml:lang="la">cf.<\/foreign> vv. 224-31.<\/note>\nSuelta ya esa mano que me aferra<lb\/> y permite a mis ciegos pies ir adonde quieran.<\/p><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
Since they are intercalated in this way, it is not necessary to add any attributes to the tag, as there is no doubt as to which term or phrase they refer to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The content of each note is free, but it can be divided into <p><\/code> > if necessary. It is advisable not to make these annotations too long, so as not to hinder the reading of the text on the screen. These are just footnotes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If a text contains translations into several languages, each language can have its own footnotes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the example, which represents the prose translation of a text in verse, <lb\/><\/code> (line breaks<\/em>) have also been included to reproduce more or less the verse structure of the original text.
