Iohannis apud Cantabrigienses D 12 saec. X\/XI\n&lt;\/witness>\n\n&lt;witness xml:id=\"Alton1923\">\n\t&lt;abbr type=\"siglum\">Alton 1923&lt;\/abbr>\n\t&lt;bibl>\n\t\t&lt;author>Alton, E.H.&lt;\/author> \n\t\t&lt;date>1923&lt;\/date>\n\t\t&lt;title level=\"a\">Notes on the &lt;hi>Thebaid&lt;\/hi> of Statius&lt;\/title>\n\t\t&lt;title level=\"j\">CQ&lt;\/title>\n\t\t&lt;biblScope unit=\"vol\">17&lt;\/biblScope>\n\t\t&lt;biblScope unit=\"pp\">175-187&lt;\/biblScope>\n\t&lt;\/bibl>\n&lt;\/witness<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>They must always have as <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@xml:id<\/code> the siglum that corresponds to it, if it is a manuscript, and the author's surname if it is an authority. The <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@xml:id<\/code> must always be unique, they cannot be repeated in the same document. Each witness must have an exclusive abbreviation. It will be to these <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@xml:id<\/code> that we will refer to from the entries of the <a href=\"http:\/\/thebarumfabula.usc.es\/en\/guidelines\/el-aparato-critico-de-la-edicion\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"1889\">critical apparatus<\/a>.<\/li><li>First it is inserted the tag <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">&lt;abbr><\/code>, where the siglum or the author's surname will be placed exactly as we want it to appear visible in the published edition.
