But it can also contain within it one or more&nbsp;<strong>attributes<\/strong>, which follow it (<code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@type<\/code>, <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@n<\/code>, <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@xml:id<\/code>, <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@xml:lang<\/code>, <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@target<\/code>, etc.), and which indicate, between commas, the <strong>value<\/strong> that the attribute has. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The values, depending on the attribute, can be free or limited to a series of possibilities. For example, the value of a number, <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@n<\/code>, will necessarily be different in each tag; whereas the value of <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">@type<\/code> of an <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">&lt;div&gt;<\/code> must belong to a predetermined list, and can repeat itself (<code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">\"edition\"<\/code>, <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">\"translation\"<\/code>, <code data-enlighter-language=\"xml\" class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\">\"book\"<\/code>, etc.).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many attributes can appear associated with different tags.
